I notice that this magazine has something
to do with a school in Somerville,
Massachusetts. I live and attend private
school in Beirut, Lebanon. Can I be part of
Happeningnow!everywhere and write for it?

The history is that 6 years ago at the A.D.
Healey School, a public K-8 grade school in
Somerville, MA, there started a student
magazine out of a creative writing group that
had just started. A brilliant idea which used to
be an idea that a lot of schools "subscribed"
to....

It has been very successful as a school
newspaper as well as a teaching tool for
creative writing and journalism....

Two years ago it SPAWNED a national magazine
for everyone everywhere (written and edited
by young people under 20 years old, sorry
older folks) that is growingly used as a
teaching tool locally and by librarians,
teachers, and students everywhere... (get it,
everywhere)

It is one of the few places we know of where
young writers of elementary, middle school and
high school age have their excellent work
shared side by side for the enjoyment of all and
good of mankind...

P.S. We are also in the business of boosting
and sharing with other student publications
everywhere. Please let us see your school
newspaper if your writers are interested in
widening their audience past their local
communities. We consider reprinting articles of
broad interest from such papers. Also, if you
publish on line, consider LINKING UP with us!
We will also review school and independent
publications including newspapers, literary
magazines, and books by young people.
